Mundagapadi village resolves to abolish plastics and child marriage

As part of the state wide grama sabha meetings on May 1, marking the international labour day, the grama saba meeting was


held in Mundagapadi Panchayat in Yercaud Panchayat Union.
The meeting was presided over by Sivasakthi the president of Mundagapadi. Members discussed about the works to be undertaken in the current year. Drinking water problem in Murugan Nagar figured prominently in the meeting. Abolition of plastic use in grocery stores and hotels, the need for a public toilet for women, control of child marriages, COVID-19 vacinations were among the other demands on the agenda. Resolution was passed on all the above points.

The village accounts for the year 2001-2002 was submitted before the grama saba members so that all the incomes and expenditures could be known by all the members. Ward member Chitra rendered vote of thanks. More than 100 people attended the meeting.
