National conference on newer materials for energy and environmental applications held

A National conference on newer materials for energy and environmental applications was organized by Annamalai University’s department of Chemistry. The conference would embrace the recent trends in the field like  Nano Chemistry, material Chemistry, energy materials and material in environmental applications.

More than 300 delegates including leading material Science experts took part in the conference that was inaugurated by the former vice-chancellor of Bharathidasan University P Manisankar.  Key note address was delivered by K Kalyanasundram, a solar energy scientist from Switzerland, V Subramanian, T Palaniselvam, TS Sampathkumar from IIT Chennai talked about biomaterial design and sodium ion batteries. The conference was organized by J Jayabharathi, professor and head of the department of Chemistry, convenors of the conference B Karthikeyan and S Parthiban.
