National Science Day Celebration

The National Science Day 2023 was celebrated in Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore on 28.02.2023  with welcome address by Dr. P. Lalitha, Director Research and Development Incharge.

The Theme for this Science Day Celebration is “Global Science for Global Wellbeing”. The greetings was given by Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore.The Chancellor Dr. S.P. Thyagarajan, of the Institute presided.
The Guest of Honor , of the day Dr. Hemantkumar Aiyer, Lead Scientist, Aditya Birla Science and Technology Company Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai delivered the speech on “Innovations”. Science Day address was given by Prof. C. B. Sanjeevi, M.D., Ph.D., Department of Medicine, Karolinska Institute Center for Molecular Medicine, Karolinska University Hospital, Stockhol, Sweden. 

He spoke about Nobel Prize How is it decided. Many registrations were recorded, and students participated and the best were selected as prize winners. Dr. A. Vijayalakshmi, Dean, School of Biosciences, proposed the vote of thanks. The National Science Day celebration was organized by the convener Dr.P.Subashini, Professor, Department of Computer Science, of the Institute.
