NCC Coimbatore contingent wins Championship banner for the 9th time

The NCC Coimbatore contingent has secured the Championship banner for the 9th time, marking a significant achievement. The Coimbatore Group, led by Col BVS Shiva Rao, Group Commander Covai, garnered widespread acclaim for its outstanding performance, clinching the prestigious Chief Minister’s Championship Banner for Best NCC Group. 
The group excelled in Social Service and Community Development Activities, earning the title of Best NCC Group in these areas. 
The 2(TN) Air Squadron within the group stood out, winning the best unit competition.
Cadet Amrit Mel, representing the 5 (TN) Girls Battalion, was awarded a gold medal and the esteemed baton from the Prime Minister for being recognised as the All India Best Cadet, a remarkable feat celebrated at the PM Rally.
The contingent received recognition and felicitation from Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Udhayanidhi Stalin at Kalaivanar 
Arangam.
