New applicants to apply for women’s rights scheme, says Udhayanidhi Stalin

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has announced in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly that new applicants will be given an opportunity to apply for the Women's Rights Scheme.
Speaking during the budget session, Udhayanidhi responded to the debate on special schemes and highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the government.
He stated that the government is committed to expanding welfare programs, and steps will be taken to allow new applicants to register for the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam (Women's Rights Scheme).
He also announced that the construction of an international stadium in Radhapuram will begin soon, fulfilling a promise made by Chief Minister MK Stalin. Additionally, he pointed out that the Chennai car race event, which was initially criticized, has now received widespread appreciation, proving Tamil Nadu’s capability to host international events successfully.
Highlighting key welfare measures, Udhayanidhi revealed that 13 lakh people have already received free land pattas, and the government has set a target of Rs.37,000 crore in loans for this year. Furthermore, he mentioned that mini-stadiums will be developed in constituencies where land is available, promoting sports and youth development.
Taking a dig at AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), Udhayanidhi remarked that EPS, who once claimed that his "route will not change," has now traveled to Delhi in three different cars. He also reaffirmed the DMK government’s commitment to resisting Hindi imposition and protecting Tamil identity.
