Ayothidoss PanditharHospital New Extension OPD block is constructed at the cost of Rs. 35 Crores at the National Institute of Siddha (NIS) and also inaugurated the CCRS, headquarters office building is constructed at the cost of Rs.13 Crores at Tambaram Sanatorium, on August 16.
Chief Guest and inaugural address was delivered by Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ayushand Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India, in which the union minister highlighted the role of Ministry of Ayush through CCRS and NIS in expanding & propagating the Siddha System of Medicine.
He also dedicated the new buildings to the people of India on the occasion of 75th year of Independence.The Union Minister also release d the achievements of CCRS and distributed the Amukkara Chooranam tablet under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahautsav programme and initiated the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
TheBioinformatics section which was established at the cost of Rs.30 Lakhs under champion sector scheme was dedicated to the nation.Significant Research and Development on Non communicable diseases like Diabetic mellitus, Cancer, Rheumatoid arthritis, Vitiligo, Fibroid Uterus, Urolithiasis and communicable diseases like dengue, chikungunya, COVID, etc has been done by CCRS.
Professor Dr. K. Kanakavalli, Director General, Central Council for Research in Siddha, welcomed the Union Minister and State minister, all the dignitaries, guests, stake holders, CPWD Officials, Police, Media& Securitypersonnel, and esteemed participants.
Both the newly constructed buildings were inaugurated by Sarbananda Sonowal,Union Minister, Ministry of Ayushand Ports, Shipping& Waterways, Government of India, with the esteemed presence of Ma. Subramanian, Minister for Medical& Family Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Felicitation address was delivered by Dr. P.Senthil Kumar, Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Shri S. Ganesh, Commissioner, Directorate of Indian Medicine & Homeopathy, Government of Tamil Nadu.
T. R. Baalu, Member of Parliament, Sriperumbudur constituency, Tmt. K. Vasanthakumari, Mayor of Tambaram City Municipal Corporation participated and felicitated the gathering.
Presidential address was deliveredby Pramod Kumar Pathak, Special Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. Ma. Subramanian, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu in his Special address, recalled the efforts taken by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for establishing the Siddha University at Chennai and also explained the proactive programmes likeMakkalai Thedi Maruthuvam,Amma Magaperu Sanjeevani Kit and Siddha COVID carecentersthat provided treatment to the people of Tamil Nadu state.
