New bus service flagged off

Deputy speaker of the state assembly K Pitchandi along with MP CN Annadurai flagged off new bus service at Devanampattu in the city. It replaces a 40-year-old bus. They travelled in the bus with the public.

The town bus had been running from Tiruvannamalai to Narthampoondi via villages like Usambadi, Karundhuvambadi, Devanampattu, Uthiram poondi, Kalasappakkam, Peri yaklampadi, Siruklampadi, and Muthirampoondi for the past four decades. However, the buses were showing signs of age.

Its roof is leading and seats were damaged, causing inconvenience to passengers.
