The government has issued a new scheme to issue pattas immediately during registration to the buyers of plots in the DTCP approved layouts, said DRO Santhoshini Chandra.
After hearing of grievances of ryots regarding her department at the monthly agricultural grievance day meeting held at the Collectorate on Friday, she that survey and subdivisions would be made in such layouts so that there is no need to survey the land again and again in giving pattas to the plot buyers in such layout. The scheme was introduced last month to avoid delay in giving pattas.
For other kind of lands also, the government instructed the revenue officials to give pattas speedily. So, at least 80 percent of applications should be cleared by officials out of petitions received every month from public. They sought mother document only if there was any doubt to avert any mistakes.
Of total pending applicants for pattas 40 to 50 percent were related to house sites.She said verification was made on the basis the details of ration card, gas refills, property sales, 4000 persons were removed from old age pension list, out of over 9000 beneficiaries, on the ground of that they were not coming under the criteria of the pension scheme.
She said instructions were given to Taluk offices to give acknowledgement for the public petitions. The Collector would take action as per the GO in fixing compensation for lands and crops for the lands used for erection of HT power tower line and cables and get it for ryots from TNEB and Powergrid Corporation, she assured.
