Raindropss, an NGO, in association with Sathyabama University organized its annual "VAANAMAE ELLAI - SKY IS THE LIMIT", a day trip to Coimbatore with the selected 26 Children from Sevalaya, Anandam Education Center, Community Help Education Society (CHES) and Students from the community including a visually challenged and transgender.
Children flew from Chennai to Coimbatore today morning, visited the iconic places and returned by train on the same day night. Children were welcomed by the District Collector Dr. G.S.Sameeran, Corporation Commissioner M. Prathap, and Revenue Divisional Officer K. Booma.
Children Entertainment
Children were taken to Science Center, GD Naidu Museum and were guided on the science and technology concepts and higher education opportunities. They were also taken to I love Coimbatore photo point in the evening and they enjoyed the beautiful scenic place with entertainment. Children were served with delicious lunch and dinner.
Children celebrated Christmas along with a Santa Claus on air during their travel from Chennai to Coimbatore. Organic Scientist and Member of State Planning Commission Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Playback Singer turned actress Sivaangi, Playback Singer Sam Vishal, Founder and Managing Trustee of Raindropss Aravind Jayabal along with the members and volunteers of Raindropss accompanied the children and made their trip memorable.
