Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been announced as the recipient of Nigeria's highest honor, the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger. Previously awarded to Queen Elizabeth in 1969, this recognition highlights Modi's global leadership and makes him the second foreign leader to receive the honour.
PM Modi has become the 2nd foreign celebrity to receive this award after Queen Elizabeth.
This is not the first time that PM Modi has been conferred with the highest award abroad. He has won many awards before. This is the 17th award out of a total of 16 overseas awards.
Not all these awards are available to all heads of state. They are given in appreciation of the good relations that extend the hand of friendship with the countries of the world and participate in the development of those countries.
All these high awards received by Prime Minister Modi are priceless assets of the Indian nation.
The country is proud. India, which has gained irresistible importance at the global level, has all the qualifications to become a superpower as endorsed by Russian President Putin. These prestigious awards reaffirm these recognitions.
