Night patrol prevents robbery in Sirumugai

The Coimbatore SP Karthikeyan praised the night patrols for their excellent work in preventing theft in the Sirumugai area.
While the police of Sirumugai Police Station in Coimbatore District were on night patrol, they heard a noise near a jewelry shop located on Sirumugai Nal Road. 
At that time, the patrolling police immediately went to the spot and found an unidentified person trying to drill a hole in the wall of the jewellery shop, but he fled from the spot after hearing the sound of the patrolling police. In this situation, a case was immediately registered at the Sirumugai Police Station regarding the above incident and an investigation was conducted. 
Within 12 hours, the police arrested Murthy (43), son of Rangan, from Sirumugai area, who tried to steal jewellery from the shop, and remanded him to judicial custody. In order to appreciate the cops, SP Dr.K.Karthikeyan presented them with a certificate of appreciation for their commendable work.
