The 12th class board exams commenced today in Nilgiris district. District Collector M Aruna visited the examination centre at Bricks Higher Secondary School to inspect the arrangements for the examination.
Speaking to the media, the district collector provided details about the examination setup in Nilgiris.
She mentioned that the board examinations are being conducted in 41 examination centres across
the district.
A total of 6158 students are appearing for the 12th class board exams, while 6475 students are taking the 11th class board exams.
To ensure the smooth conduct of examinations, a flying squad comprising 88 officers has been formed to observe the proceedings.
The district collector emphasised that steps have been taken to provide students with a calm and conducive environment during the examination.
She extended her best wishes to all the students appearing for the exams.
