Nilgiris Collector inspects election prep work

District Electoral Officer and Nilgiris Collector M Aruna recently oversaw the process of matching candidate names and symbols in electronic voting machines at Coonoor Providence Women’s College. 
This inspection comes as part of the extensive preparations ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
In anticipation of the elections, electoral officers across all constituencies are diligently preparing for their roles. 
The ballot unit, control unit, and VVPAT machines have been carefully allocated and stored in a secure room, with representatives from various political parties overseeing the process. With 1619 voting stations in Nilgiris, ensuring the accuracy of candidate names and symbols in electronic voting machines is currently underway.
During the inspection, District Collector M Aruna observed the meticulous work being done to match candidate names and symbols, ensuring that everything is in order for the upcoming elections. 
Assistant Electoral Officer and Revenue Officer Sathish, along with other government officials, were also present during the event, further emphasising the importance of these preparations.
