Nilgiris Collector inspects training session for polling officers

Nilgiris District Electoral Officer and Collector M Aruna visited the Mettupalayam National Matriculation Higher Secondary School to inspect the second phase of training for polling officers ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
During the event, the district collector emphasised the diligent efforts of surveillance teams, electoral officers, and flying squads in ensuring a smooth parliamentary election process. She highlighted that the Election Commission of India organised the second phase training for polling station officers who will be deployed in Udhagamandalam, Coonoor, Gudalur, Bhavanisagar, Mettupalayam, and Avinashi areas.
A total of 1595 officers participated in the training session. The collector announced that a third phase training session is scheduled for April 18, just before the elections.
