Nilgiris Collector M Aruna participated in the public mass meeting event held at Anaikatti Community Hall in Eppanadu Panchayat on July 10. During the event, she provided welfare funds worth Rs. 17 lakhs to 43 beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, the district collector stated, “As part of the mass meet initiative introduced by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, one village is selected, and a camp is set up there. Government officials invite the people in the village to the camp, inquire about the challenges they face, and provide them with the necessary welfare funds to support them. During this meeting, we spoke to the people from Eppanadu Panchayat and provided welfare funds worth Rs. 17 lakhs to 43 beneficiaries based on the petitions received.”
Deputy Director (Mudumalai Tiger Reserve) Arunkumar, Associate Director, Horticulture Department Shiphila Mary, Udhagai Revenue Officer Maharaj, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer Jayakumar, and other government officials were present during the event.
