Nirmala College for Women, Coimbatore, in collaboration with the Society for the Advancement of Library and Information Science (SALIS), Chennai, organised a two-day National Conference on "Connecting Users to Library Resources Through Innovative Technologies."
The event, held at the college, brought together experts, researchers, and professionals in the field of library and information science to discuss advancements in connecting users to library resources through technology.
Dr. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, served as the chief guest.
In her keynote address, she highlighted the evolving role of libraries in the digital age and the importance of adapting to meet the changing needs of users. Dr. Hariharan, Founder President of SALIS, Chennai, shared insights into the organisation's initiatives aimed at making research accessible to a wider audience through innovative technologies. Various distinguished speakers also contributed, exploring the latest trends, tools, and strategies in library technology, user experience, and information literacy.
