NTP faces wrath of Arunthathiyars

It is said that the Naam Thamizhar Party (NTP) chief coordinator Seeman's slanderous speech against Arunthathiyars has created a problem for the party in getting votes from them.  Next to the Congress and AIADMK candidates in the constituency, the party candidate Maneka Navaneethan has received voters attention as she is belonging to the majority Sengunthar Mudaliyar community voters in the segment. AIADMK's Thennarasu is belonging to another majority Vellala Goundar and Congress candidate EVKS Elangovan belonging to Naikkar community. 

There is widespread dissatisfaction that both the DMK and AIADMK parties have not given a chance to the  Sengunthar Mudaliyar community person to contest. To overcome this dissatisfaction, Sabareesan, the son-in-law of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, camped in Erode and gathered support from Mudaliar community organizations and dignitaries. As a result, some organizations have announced their support for the Congress candidate.

However, some among Mudaliyar community want to support her. Seeman spoke about the pride of the Mudaliyar community in his campaign.  At the same time, he spoke against the Arundhatiars, who were nearly 30000 in the segment, in denigrating manner. So, the DMK sent its leaders to lure them. Due to this, NTP cadres were not able to approach Arunthathiyars areas to canvass votes due to their resistance. 
Normally, those We hate DMK and AIADMK fronts would opt NTP.  But, his speech invited the wrath of Arunthathiyars which could be a set back for the party in the bypoll, many felt.
