Officials told to speed up work to drain rain water at Coimbatore

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Mr.Ma.Sivaguru Prabhakaran E.A.A. has instructed the officers to expeditiously clear the rainwater drains in the areas under the Coimbatore Corporation.
He inspected the rainwater drains in the areas under the central zone on May 16 and instructed the officials to clear the rainwater drains quickly so that the stagnant rainwater can be discharged quickly.
Coimbatore Corporation, East, West, North, South and Central Zone Wards are taking various measures to drain rainwater quickly on the roads during rainy 
season. 
He inspected the installation of 2 additional 100 HP electric motors near the Avinasi flyover under the central zone and 1 additional 100 HP electric motor near the Kaliswara Mill flyover to quickly drain rainwater and instructed the officials to install the electric motors quickly.
Following this, he instructed the officials to immediately dig the rainwater drains on the Goodshed road near the railway station to drain the accumulated rainwater quickly.
