Onam celebration begins at Kerala Samajam

To welcome the Onam festival, the women members of Erode Kerala Samajam and Charitable Trust in Erode arranged a celebration by creating Athapoo Kolam in its office on Monday evening. Onam, the most important festival of the Malayalees, falls on Sept 8.  

In view of this, they have welcomed the festival on the first day of the Malayalam month with arranging dance and song programmes and distributing sweets to visitors.The Samaj president PV Sridharan, secretary Rajesh Nethaji and treasurer Chandran said the annual Onam and platinum jubilee celebrations of the Samajam will be held at Parimalam Mahal, Erode, on Sept 9.
