One day basic training programme on human rights

A One Day Basic Training Programme on Human Rights, sponsored by National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi was organized by Kongunadu Arts and Science College (Autonomous) on Nov 25 at the College Auditorium. Dr. C.A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director, Kongunadu Arts and Science College delivered the presidential address.    D.R. Kaarthikeyan President - Foundation Peace, Harmony and Good Governance, delivered lecture on the topic ‘Introduction to Human Rights’. 

Dr. F. X. Lovelina Little Flower, VC Committee Member, Dean i/c, College Development Council, Professor and Head, Department of Social Work, Bharathiar University delivered lecture on the topic ‘Rights of Women and Children’. Mrs. R. Thenmozhi, Senior Advocate, Vice President – Tamil Nadu Advocate Women Association, Secretary – Coimbatore Women Advocate Association delivered lecture on the topic ‘Human Rights Institutions in India’.Shri.

Gopi Shankar Madurai, South Representative of National Council for Transgender Persons, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment delivered lecture on the topic ‘Rights of other Vulnerable Groups’. Dr. M. Lekeshmanaswamy, Principal of the college and Dr. S. Mythili, Dean School of Computer Science were present.Dr. S.R. Madhan Shankar, Dean Academics of the college proposed the vote of thanks.
