Ooty Collector inaugurates higher education guidance program

Nilgiri district Collector M Aruna inaugurated higher education program 

My College Dream at JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty.  It was organized by the Department of Adi Dravidiar and Tribal Welfare department.

In her speech, she said ''with the objective of increasing the enrollment rate in higher education and check dropout of students, the program is being conducted. 

The District has 40 Government Schools and 21 Government Aided Schools and 24 private matric higher schools.

SC, ST students are waiting for the results of the twelfth standard exam  in the above schools. Scholarship for higher studies ranging from Rs.3,500 to Rs.36 lakh is given by the government. So, the students should be explained on the courses in Arts, Science, Engineering courses etc to pursue  higher education. 

As soon as the results of the examination are released, the students should take advantage of this guidance program to apply for higher education without delay based on the marks. Around 300 students  participated and were given instructions on 'My College Dream' higher education guidance.
