OPS-Premalatha move against AIADMK: Result?

OPS-Premalatha move against AIADMK: Result?

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Tamil Nadu, O. Panneerselvam had sought permission to meet him. But he did not get permission to meet the Prime Minister. Due to this, many kinds of speculations were raised. It is in this situation that former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam has announced that he is leaving the BJP's National Democratic Alliance.
Following this, O. Panneerselvam met Chief Minister Stalin while he was out for a walk in the morning and inquired about his health. Following this, OPS went directly to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's residence in Alwarpet. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin came to the doorstep and welcomed him. The meeting between M.K. Stalin & OPS lasted for more than 20 minutes.
Although O. Panneerselvam said that this was a meeting to check on each other's health out of respect, the fact that the two met twice in the same day has created new expectations in Tamil Nadu politics. Will O. Panneerselvam lean towards the DMK alliance? The debate has also arisen.
O. Panneerselvam's decision will severely reduce the votes of the Mukulathors who should come to the AIADMK alliance in the southern region. Similarly, there are chances that the Mukulathors in the Delta districts will be severely shocked. It is said that O. Panneerselvam contested independently in the 2024 parliamentary elections and got three lakh votes as proof that he has influence.
Similarly, DMDK General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth visited Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at his residence and spoke to him. In this meeting, Premalatha Vijayakanth inquired about the health of the Chief Minister. This meeting also created a stir in political circles.
The DMDK has not yet made any announcement about forming an alliance for the upcoming assembly elections. In the last elections, the DMDK contested in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the AIADMK. Premalatha Vijayakanth had said that an important announcement about the alliance will be made at the party conference to be held in January. Political commentators are seeing the possibility that she too will side with the DMK instead of joining the AIADMK.
The PMK is likely to be included in the AIADMK alliance. But the party is disintegrating in the father-son conflict. The conflict has reached its peak. Ramadasa? Anbumani? & under whose leadership the PMK is operating legally, even the party workers are at the peak of confusion.
It is no exaggeration to say that the cracks and divisions in the PMK, which has a certain vote bank, and Premalatha Vijayakanth's new trend against the AIADMK have destabilized the AIADMK in the current environment.
There are still many months left for the assembly elections. There are chances of changes by then. In any case, the four-pronged contest between DMK, AIADMK & BJP, TVK, and NDA has been confirmed.
DMK leader M.K. Stalin is confident that he will form the government for the 7th time, listing the achievements made during his rule. Edappadi Palaniswami says that the government will be formed under his leadership. TVK leader Vijay says that a change is going to happen in Tamil Nadu politics. Seeman is playing the field alone without worrying about anything.
Will the Tamil Nadu voters still not decide who to give the fruit of victory and put on the Chief Minister's chair? They are just waiting to confirm it with a single finger!
