The campus of Cheran Institutions, Perur, Coimbatore was filled with celebrative air as student in traditional dress cooked and offered pongal to the Sun God. The Cheran Institutions honoured the organic farmers who are the backbones of Indian agriculture. The Guest of honor Mrs. K. Muthulakshmi, Deputy Director of Agriculture, delivered a speech on green India, greenhouse evaluation, and pollution.
The Guest of honor Mr. M. S. Ahamad, Deputy Director of agriculture, delivered a speech on rainwater harvesting and the importance of water usage in agriculture. Mr. Perumal Swami, guest of honor and assistant director of marketing, emphasized the importance of marketing and advertising, particularly in Indian markets. Students of Cheran Institutions performed various traditional cultural activities like Mayilattam, Oyilattam, Karagattam, and other south Indian traditional dances.
