Overwhelming response to ‘vivo Ignite Awards”

vivo, the trusted global smartphone brand, is thrilled to announce the overwhelming response to ‘vivo Ignite: Technology and Innovation Awards 2023’, witnessing participation of more than 19,000 registrations and over 4,000 innovative projects from students of grades 8-12. Students from across the country submitted individual/ group entries under ‘Tech for Good’ theme, demonstrating their problem-solving approachto make a positive social impact.

Geetaj Channana, Head of Corporate Strategy at vivo India, expressed delight at the overwhelming response, stating, “We are delighted to witness the extraordinary enthusiasm from the young creative minds. At vivo, we take immense pride in championing the youth of India through initiatives like Ignite Awards, offering them a platform to showcase their ingenuity and contribute to the vibrant culture of innovation.”

In collaboration with CIET-NCERT and iHub DivyaSampark, the vivo Ignite Awards 2023 aimsto nurture the next generation of problem solvers and innovators. TheTop 25 innovative solutions addressing societal challenges will be considered for research/ incubation/start-up. Top 10 National Finalists (individual/group projects) will be shortlisted from the Top 25 ideas for the Grand Finale.The National Finalists will present their project prototypes along with the Project Display Board to the Grand Jury at the Grand Finale on February 10, 2024 in New Delhi.

The first prize winner will be awarded a cash prize of INR 7 lakhs, with 4 runners-up sharing cash prizes worth INR 14 lakhs. The award season commenced on November 25, 2023, and it will culminate on February 10, 2024 with a Grand Finale. Certificates and exciting goodies will be awarded to all 10 National Finalists and 200 zonal winners. Furthermore, the schools of the shortlisted 200 ideas (Individual/Group) will be recognised for their efforts in helping out the students to participate in the Ignite Awards.
