'Parents should introduce Good Books to kids'

Parents should introduce good books to children, said Erode District Principal Judge B. Murugesan. In Erode Makkal Sindhanai Peravai president lawyer T.Stalin Gunasekaran gave an introductory speech.

At the valedictory of 12 day Erode Book Festival on Tuesday, he said that libraries should be set up in every house for this purpose. 

 The District Judge participated and gave souvenirs to those who contributed to the Erode Book Festival.   He said  reading practice of books has decreased due to the electronic devices such as radio, television and android mobile phones. Now children are involved in various activities due to Android mobile phones.

 To change this situation, parents should introduce good books to children. Books change human life. Books continue to provide a wealth of knowledge. He said that everyone should make a commitment to leave books as a primary asset for the next generation. 

Retired IAS officer Tyagi K. Lakshmikanthan Bharathi delivered the concluding speech.Peravai Secretary N. Anparasu thanked the participants and informed the next year's Book Festival 2023 will be held from 4th to 15th August.
