Pawan Kumar Giriyapanavar takes charge as Coimbatore Collector

Pawan Kumar Giriyapanavar took charge as the new Collector of Coimbatore district today. Pawan Kumar signed the files and took office after handing over the responsibilities to the then Collector of the district, Kranthi Kumar Pati.
In a subsequent interview to reporters, the new District Collector Pawan Kumar said that he is in charge of serving the people and steps will be taken to bring all the government schemes to the people.  Special attention will be given to the demands of the public and he said that there are various NGOs in Coimbatore district and he will work with them to carry out development projects.  He said that action will be taken after consulting with the department officials regarding the looting of mineral resources.
