Former Minister Chemmalai said that people from all walks of life are suffering much during the 21-month rule of DMK. He campaigned for AIADMK candidate KS Tennarasu in the Erode East by-election at Manalmedu area today. He said many poll promises of DMK were not yet fulfilled.
They assured to give Rs 1000 to women heads every month, cancel NEET, education loan and grant Gas Diesel Petrol subsidy etc. But it didnot fulfil such promises. Rather, it hiked power, water, property taxes and milk price many fold. On the other prices of all essential commodities rise steeply. But, prople's income didnot rise.
So all section of people including weavers, workers and farmers in the state were in deep distress.
Such distress and people's wrath would echo in the bypoll and it would ensure the victory of Thennarasu, he added.
