Permanent solution to dye waste problem to be envisaged: Minister

Steps will soon be taken to develop a permanent plan to prevent the mixing of textile dye waste in water bodies in Erode district, said Housing Minister S Muthusamy while inaugurating a varumun maruthuvam camp at Erode on Monday.  
 

In the district 46 camp will be held this year. The camps have facilities to diagnose 17 types of diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer.  By conducting medical camps, the public will get a chance to know about diseases they are not aware of. In the Erode East by-election,  Municipal Development Minister KN Nehru has announced special fund for Erode Municipal Corporation. Accordingly, the projects are being developed and sent. Funds are being received for each project.

 Funds were sought for laying pipeline under the Uratchikottai drinking water project in the left out areas of Erode West segment.   Collector Rajagopal Sunkara, Mayor Nagaratnam Subramaniam and top medical officials attended the event.
