Petitions for patta transfers come down: DRO

District Revenue Officer Santhoshini Chandra said that applications for transfer of patta are being gradually reduced in Erode district. In the farmers' grievance meeting, she said that last November 2021, 33000 petitions for patta transfer were pending which has been gradually reduced to 27000 now. 

There are 43 land surveyors who also look after other tasks. Each surveyor was told to process 100 applications in a month and 25 petitions every week. For this, a review meeting is held every Friday. Therefore, action will be taken on the pending petitions soon. At the time of petitioning in the taluk office, the petition should be registered in the appropriate register.

SC, ST  students hostels 

In Perundalaiyur area encroachment of water sources was identified. So, houses will be allocated in the apartments built under the Urban Livelihood Scheme to the peeople there. The value of the house will be Rs 8-9 lakhs. 

The beneficiaries will have to pay Rs 50000 to 1.75 lakhs.  Loan facility will be arranged for the poor to pay the amount. The value of the mobile land survey equipment which is used for surveying and removing encroachments through GPS is Rs. 30 lakhs. So, each district has been provided with one equipment through which encroachments on water bodies can be detected. 

A recommendation will be made to the government to set up a special committee regarding encroachment in Kizbhavani Canal. Collector ordered officials to inspect SC, ST  students hostels surprisingly in order to improve them. Pattas for  Natham lands would be given after getting a GO from the government. Kodumudi will soon get a new taluk office building, she added.
