Pillur III water project works inspected

Mr.R.Ambalavanan, President of Tamil Nadu Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation, and Mr.M.Pratap, Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner, inspected the ongoing construction works of Pillur III water supply project. 
They instructed the contractors to complete the works speedily in order to carry out trial runs by the second week of June. 
The project is to supply drinking water in the expanded areas of Coimbatore from Pillur Dam, which is a source of drinking water for the Corporation,  considering the growing population of Coimbatore Corporation in the year of 2035. The project is worth Rs.779 crore and construction works and drinking water pipe laying work are going on in Mettupalayam, Nellithurai panchayat, Murugayan Parisalthurai, Marudur panchayat, Thandiperumalapuram and Kattanmalai.
