Plea to double education scholarship for SCs

Jai Bhim Makkal Katchi appealed to the government to double the education scholarship for SC and BC students as assured in the DMK poll manifesto. The party state executive committee meeting, led by party founder president 
A.A. Arivazhan, held at Erode on Sunday. It thanked the CM and local minister 
S Muthusamy for erecting Dr Ambedkar statue at  Erode and announcing Ambedkar and Periyar birthday as equality day and social justice day. It opposed new education policy, NEET and CUET and urged the Centre to withdraw them, urged the state government to pass an Act against honour killings to check killing of intercaste lovers and couples,  and check rise in prices of yarn and cloth which hit textile sector, weavers, and people much.
