Plea to fix 5 percent GST on building materials at Erode

Erode district building materials traders association appealed to the Centre to reduce the GST on the building materials from 28,18,12 and 5 to uniform 5 percent to reduce the cost of construction and thus help public.
The association's 32nd general council meeting held at Erode on Sunday. Erode Corporation chief engineer Vijayakumar, special guest Kadhaikalam Founder C Vanithamani Arulvel, sangam honorary president R Narayanasamy, president VM Ilango, secretary P Danabalan, treasurer P Chinnasamy, vice presidents K Kumar, and Sankar spoke. 
The sangam demanded conversion of Mettur Road as single lane traffic, speedy completion of Solar and Ganiravutharkulam new bus stand project to reduce traffic congestion in the 
town.
