According to the court order, inspection work is going to be done from July 2 to remove illegally installed water pump sets in water bodies including Bhavani river. For that purpose, Thadapalli-Arakkankottai, Kilpavani, Kalingarayan Irrigation Council administrators should also be included in the committee.

While the government has given permission to farmers to take soil in ponds and lakes. But some persons are obstructing and misusing it. This should be monitored.

Water should be opened for irrigation in Thadapally-Arakkankottai and Kalingarayan ayacut after the onset of southwest monsoon. A dispute between officials and a farmer at Akkarai Kodiveri Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society has left the warehouse there sealed for 11 months. Due to this, other farmers' products stored there are also affected. Therefore, interest for 11 months should be waived for the farmers who have availed economic loan.
