Pomp and gaiety marks I-Day celebration at Coimbatore

 The 78th Independence Day is being celebrated in a grand manner throughout the country. Likewise, Coimbatore District Collector  Kranthi Kumar Padi hoisted the national flag  at the VOC ground in Coimbatore.
Following this, he accepted the guard of honor of the police. Subsequently, He presented certificates of appreciation to 83 police officers and 140 government officials, and the heirs of freedom fighters and language struggle martyrs. 
Spectacular cultural performances by school students was also held.
