Pongal celebrated in a grand manner at Tamilnadu Mercantile bank

Administrative director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tamilnadu Mercantile bank Krishnan presided over the events that were organized to celebrate the Pongal festival at the bank headquarters in Thoothukudi district.
The celebration commenced after offering a prayer to the Sun. Aiming to promote the traditional arts of the state, folk dance forms including Bharatanattiyam, Paraiyaatam, Mayillatam, Oyillatam and Karakattam were performed. The artists were bestowed with prizes at the end of the celebration.

While addressing the employees, Krishnan said, “The bank along with its employees would grow only when its employees are performing better. I extend my Pongal wishes to all the staff and their family members.”
The privatized bank with its headquarters at Thoothukudi, has been engaged in public service for almost a century.  The bank is functioning in 16 states and four union territories with 511 branches, 12 regional offices and 50 lakh customers.
