Preserving harmony and secular values need of the hour

The Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been consecrated, ahead of the parliamentary elections that are scheduled to take place in a few months. Parties such as the Congress, DMK, and Trinamool Congress abstained from it, claiming that its sole objective was political.
In a particular case, astonishment has been sparked by a video showing a group of people scaling a Christian church and hoisting saffron flag on the crucifix at Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh after the usual Sunday service ended.The pastor of the church there tried to stop this, but they ignored him. As the video of this has been released on the internet, many people are condemning this incident.
No incident should be staged in which people of one religion are offended by other religions. There is historical evidence that such acts can create huge impacts.
India is a secular country. Such misdeeds challenge the diversity that has made Indian democracy so long lasting.
Even though there are many religions, “one race, one God” is the way our forefathers have shown us. People of all religions should live peacefully in the country with their own religious practices.
To prevent immoral incidents, all religious groups and their leaders should implement the appropriate egalitarian measures. That's what will guarantee India's proper position in the international arena forever.
