President to visit Kovai tomorrow: traffic diversion for 2 days

In a press release issued by the Coimbatore Police, it has been said: In view of the visit of the President of India, on Feb 18 and 19, vehicular traffic will be diverted in the Coimbatore city from 1 pm to 10 pm on 18th and 6 am to 10 am on 19th. 

1. Heavy/Goods Vehicles: 

 1) Heavy/Goods vehicles coming from Avinasi into Coimbatore via Neelambur, Chinniampalayam are prohibited. Alternatively, they can enter the city via L&T Bypass Road, Chintamaniputur, Ondiputhur, Singanallur, Ramanathapuram. 
2) Heavy vehicles going from  Coimbatore to Avinashi can go via Anna Statue, Racecourse, Sungam, Singanallur and the bypass road. 
3) Heavy/goods vehicles are prohibited from reaching the airport junction via Kalapatti Road. Alternatively, they can go via Kalapatti Nalrod, Mayilampatti, Thottipalayam. 
4) Heavy/goods vehicles going to Avinashi Road / Trichy Road from Sathy Road, Saravanampatti areas can go via Ganapathy, Gandhipuram flyover, Anna Statue, Racecourse, Sungam, Singanallur. 
5) Vehicles coming through Marudamalai Road, Thadagam Road are  prohibited from going through Chintamani. Alternatively, they can go via GCT, Bharati Park Road, Vadakovai flyover, Gandhipuram, Anna Statue, Racecourse, Sungam, Singanallur. 
6) Vehicles coming from Mettupalayam Road can go via Vadakovai flyover, Gandhipuram, Anna Statue, Racecourse, Sungam, Singanallur. 

2. Car/ other vehicles: 

1. If public want to enter Coimbatore via Avinashi road, old bridge, Goods shed road, Brook field road, Chinthamani, Cowleybrown road, Lawley road, Marudumalai roads, they can change their visiting time.
2) Car and other vehicles coming via Avinashi, Chinniyampalayam roads can go via Thottipalayam, Mayilampatti, Kalapatti, Saravanampatti roads. The vehicles going to airport, railway station and hospitals will be allowed via Thottipalayam to enter the city.  
3) The vehicles using Tiruchi road can avoid Avinashi road and opt Singanallur. 
4) Vehicles can move under the old flyover in Avinashi road instead of moving on the flyover.
5) Vehicles coming via Marudamalai, Thadagam road can move via GCT,  Bharathi Park, Vadakovai flyover,  Gandhipuram. 
6) Vehicles coming from Mettupalayam Road can move via Vadakovai flyover and Gandhipuram.
