Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new achievement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new achievement

Jawaharlal Nehru is the record holder for the longest, most consecutive term as Prime Minister in Indian history. He was also the first Prime Minister of our country.
Nehru was the first Prime Minister from August 15, 1947 to May 27, 1964. He holds the record for the longest uninterrupted term as Prime Minister, serving for 16 years and 286 days.
In this situation, 74-year-old Narendra Modi took office as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014. As of July 25, 2025, Modi has served the nation for 4,078 consecutive days.
With this, he has broken Indira Gandhi's record of 4,077 days in office from 24 January 1966 to 24 March 1977. This means that Modi has moved up to second place.
He is in second place after winning consecutive Lok Sabha elections in 2014, 2019 and 2024. Not only that, Modi also has the distinction of being the Chief Minister of Gujarat after winning consecutive assembly elections in 2002, 2007 and 2012. Modi is also the first leader born after India's independence to hold the post of Prime Minister for the longest period.
Prime Minister Modi yesterday achieved the great feat of leading the government for 24 years in a state and at the Centre.
