Prior information needed on Agri Schemes

 Farmers demanded that the information about the schemes for the farmers should be informed in advance.At the farmers' grievance meeting held at the Collectorate,  Tamil Nadu Small and Marginal Farmers' Association president Suthanthira Rasu said: All the benefits and schemes of the Department of Agriculture should go to every farmer. 
But, information about the agri scheme does not reach ryots in  time.

Therefore, the announcement should be made through the press two days in advance.  The LBP canal should be deducted and repair works on damaged culverts be initiated.  Appropriate measures should be taken to keep paddy seeds properly at the paddy treatment center at Bavani and grant compensation for the land given by the farmers to Powergrid Corporation. 

At the meeting, the President of the LBP Irrigation Farmers' Association, 
C. Nallasamy, Mettur Right Bank Irrigation Association President Palanisamy, Thadappally-Arakkankottai Irrigation Farmers Association President Subi. Thalapathi and Odathurai farmers association President Venkatachalam submitted petitions regarding various demands.
