Protest condemning violence against Christians in Manipur held

More than 20 archbishops and 100 bishops from various parts of the country including Odisha, Telangana, Kerala, Gujarat and Nagpur took part in the protest that was organized to condemn the violence against Christians in Manipur, at Alvin Nagar on Sungam bypass in the city. The Anglican archdiocese organized a protest to condemn the destruction of churches, houses and schools during the riots in the state. More than 200 people along with bishops attended the protest. They condemned both the union and Manipur governments for their inaction. They raised slogans and carried ply-cards. Archbishops Reinhardt Chandrasekhar, Ravi Jesupaul and Stephen Vattappara participated in the protest.
