The Department of Food Processing Technology and Management, in collaboration with the Health and Wellness Club of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, hosted the official Inauguration of the Health and Wellness Club and a special lecture on "Healthy Living through Safe Food Processing."
The event was inaugurated by Dr. N. Yesodha Devi, Secretary of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women. The event featured a keynote lecture by Dr. T. Anuradha, Designated Officer, FSSAI, Coimbatore District. Her address, titled "Healthy Living through Safe Food Processing, "highlighted the critical role of food safety, the 'One Nation, One Food Law', and enforcement measures undertaken by FSSAI.
Joining the session was Mr. Arokiaraj Prabhu, FSSAI Officer, Peelamedu Block collaborated with Dr. Anuradha to conduct a hands-on demonstration enabling students to detect adulteration in food products.
The program was coordinated by Dr. N. Deepa Sathish, Head of the Department of Food Processing Technology and Management, and Dr. M. Jayachitra, Senior Director, Department of Physical Education.
