PSGR Krishnammal College holds hygiene awareness program for tribal women

The Department of Biotechnology, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, successfully conducted a Health and Hygiene Awareness Programme for Women on 30th June 2025 at Kokkal Village, Nilgiris. This outreach initiative was supported by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, and the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, under the Popularisation of Science Scheme.
Dr. S. Nethra (M.S. in Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and Dietitian Latha Kannan (M.Sc., M.Phil. in Food and Nutrition) from K.R. Hospital, Periyanaickenpalayam, delivered informative speech.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. V. Bhuvaneshwari, Associate Professor, and Dr. G. Anbarasi, Assistant Professor.
Nutritional powders and sanitary napkins to 100 women were distributed in the event
