PSGR Krishnammal College holds national meet on Probiotics

PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, supported by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology arranged 
a two-day National Level Conference on Probiotics, Prebiotics, Postbiotics, and Biofortification: The Future of Human Health and Nutrition" on Dec 12 and 13.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. R. Nandini, Chairperson of the College. Dr. N. Yesodha Devi, Secretary, extended her support to the event. Dr. P.B. Harathi, Principal, presided over the event. 
The conference featured distinguished speakers, including: Dr. Prakash Kumar Sarangi, Scientist, Central Agricultural University, Manipur.
Dr. S. Balamurugan, DBT Ramalingaswami Fellow, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
Dr. Avinash Singode, Senior Scientist, ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research, Hyderabad.
Dr. R. Sathishkumar, Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
Dr. E. Kokiladevi, Professor and Head, Centre for Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, TNAU, Tamil Nadu.
Their talks covered diverse topics, including nutrigenomics, the gut-brain axis, microbiome diversity, biofortification, and sustainable food systems. 
Organized by Dr. R. Nirmal Kumar, Convener, along with Organizing Secretaries Mrs. R. Kiruba, Dr. V. Bhuvaneshwari, and Dr. Subha Damodharan, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 delegates, including students, academicians, and industry professionals.
