PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (PSGRKCW) organised a Student Induction Programme for first-year undergraduate students at the PSGRKC Alumni Golden Jubilee Auditorium. The event featured Dr. Kezevino Aram, President of Shanthi Ashram, as the Chief Guest.
The programme commenced at 10 a.m. with a welcome address by Dr. R Nandini, the Chairperson. Following this, Principal Dr. PB Harathi provided an overview of the institution. Dr. Aram then addressed the gathering, emphasising the evolution of women's education and the opportunities it presents. She encouraged the students to seize these opportunities and envision themselves as future leaders both nationally and globally.
Highlighting the significance of skill development, P Geetha Priya, District Revenue Officer and General Manager of Tamil Nadu Magnesite Ltd., Salem, shared her insights. Additionally, alumna Charumathi Muralidharan, an actor, singer, and songwriter, recounted her college experiences, inspiring the students.
Adding to the student perspectives, Parvathy R Pillai from the Department of Economics shared her experiences on campus, offering a current student's viewpoint.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. J Balavijayalakshmi, IQAC Coordinator, KCW. The programme was attended by first-year UG students, their parents, heads of departments, and faculty members, marking a warm and informative welcome to the new batch of students.
