PSGR Krishnammal College organises on-site mammogram screening at Coimbatore

Department of Zoology, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women in collaboration with Ganga Hospital, organised the Pink Ribbon Promise Program, on-site mammogram screening on August 20 and 21.

This initiative targeted the teaching and non-teaching staff aged 40 years and above, aiming to facilitate early detection of breast cancer through accessible and painless screening.

A team of 7 members led by Dr. Kumanan, Diabetic foot surgeon from Ganga Hospital facilitated the screening camp. This drive was inaugurated by Dr. PB Harathi, Principal, PSGR Krishnammal college for Women. R Karthika, Mammogram counsellor from Ganga Hospital addressed the gathering on mammogram screening and briefed about the importance of this screening.

A total of 150 staff benefited from this program. This program emphasised the importance of proactive health measures and encouraged the beneficiaries to prioritise their well-being.
