PSGR Krishnammal college students win gold medals in international Silambam competition

Two students from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women have brought pride to their institution with stellar performances at the 19th National Level Championship 2025 and the 2nd International Level Championship 2025, organised by the National Youth Sports and Education Federation from January 25 to 27. Nithina S, a first-year BA History student, and Neenashree B, a second-year BCom (BA) student, showcased exceptional skill and determination in Silambam, clinching multiple gold medals in various categories:
Nithina S secured 4 Gold Medals in Kuthu Varisai, Surul Vaal, Vel Kambu, and Double Stick. She earned 2 Gold Medals at the national level and 3 Gold Medals at the international level. Neenashree B also claimed 4 Gold Medals in Double Vel Kambu, Surul Vaal, Vel Kambu, and Maan Kombu. She achieved 2 Gold Medals at the national level and 3 Gold Medals at the international level.
Both students excelled in Form 1 and Form 2 events, competing in the main and additional categories.
