Rajasthan IT Officer’s Wife Received Rs 37.54 Lakh ‘Salary’ From Two Firms

In a startling revelation, the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has exposed a major corruption case involving Pradyuman Dixit, Joint Director of the State Information Technology Department, who allegedly received bribes disguised as salary payments made to his wife.
According to the ACB investigation, Dixit’s wife, Poonam Dixit, was falsely shown as an employee of Orion Pro Solutions and Trigen Software Limited — two private companies that had secured lucrative government contracts from the IT Department. These firms were awarded tenders during the period when Dixit held a key decision-making position.
Between 2019 and 2020, the two companies deposited a total of Rs 37,54,405 into five different bank accounts belonging to Poonam Dixit. However, the probe confirmed that she never visited either company’s office or performed any official duties. To conceal the irregularity, fabricated attendance records were created to portray her as a regular employee drawing a monthly salary.
The scandal surfaced after a petition was filed in the Rajasthan High Court, seeking an inquiry into the alleged misuse of office and financial irregularities. The High Court directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau to conduct a detailed probe, following which investigators traced the money flow and uncovered the fake employment
records.
The ACB has submitted its findings to the state government, recommending strict disciplinary and criminal action against Pradyuman Dixit and Poonam Dixit.
Officials described the case as a “sophisticated form of bribery” — where illegal payments were masked as legitimate salaries to evade scrutiny.
