Rajasthan Social Welfare Sangh, Erode, led by its president Prakash Jain, felicitated DGP IW CID Shailesh Kumar Yadhav for his elevation as DGP recently at a function at Shri Kunthumathji Jain Bhawan on Wednesday.
The Sangh functionaries Sanjay Agarwal, Narendra Jain, Shripal Bafna, Mahalir Chopra, Pradip Kumar Parakh, Purushotham Das Sethiya, Rajendra Kumar Agarwal, Narendra Kumar Nakhat, Lalith Dhariwal, and Vibul spoke.
The DGP presented awards to Paasam, Siragugal, Akshayam, CTC Education Trust. Many dignitaries including Vellalar education trust secretary SD Chandrasekhar attended the event.
In his speech, the DGP highlighted the hardships of police personnel in the society as public sought their help even for drinking water, road problems etc. Over 95 percent of people were good in the state so that only the state attained more progress. It helped the progress of people of other states in trade and industry in the state, he added.
He recalled his services in various parts of the state including SP of Erode District and initial stage of ASP in Nellai district and career prospects including the guidance of late PM VP Singh. Quoting from Gita, he appealed to the parents to teach moral values to their children and make them good and responsible citizens of the nation.
