The exhilarating finals of RaK's FC Golden Baby League Under 10 football tournament took place at the RaK's Sports Arena.
The presence of the Secretary of Coimbatore Football Association further underscores the significance of grassroots football development in our community.
RaK's Baby League, under the umbrella of RaK's FC, a Junior I league registered with AIFF, stands as an inclusive platform tailored for children under 10, dedicated to nurturing their passion for football.
Coimbatore District Football Association President Ajith Kumar was the special guest of the event and congratulated the athletes and inaugurated the final round in the presence of Swetha Krishnamurthy, founder of RaK's Sports Arena.
In this match, Anaamalais Strikers beat Rak’s Orange Warriors by 3 -1.
Speaking about the tournament, Swetha Krishnamurthy said that this tournament was planned 6 months ago to make the children engage in sports and also to reduce their screen time.
We invited parents who are interested in forming and owning teams for this purpose. Accordingly, 6 parents came forward and formed 6 teams namely RaK's RedGiants, RaK's GOAT Gang, RaK's Orange Warriors, Rak's WeLittle, RaK's Spartans, and Rak's Anaamalais Strikers.
There was a total of 60 students, sorted equally into 6 teams. They had their own separate coaches. They played the league matches on all Sundays. The owners of the teams took care of the needs of the students.
Through these competitions, students were able to learn and improve their skills. Many of them felt that their self-confidence level had increased.
Since this is the first year, we had 6 teams. Efforts will be made to field more teams next year.
