Revenue Dept to hold spl grievance redressal meeting

Special People's Grievance Redressal Meeting will be held in different parts of the district this month on behalf of the Revenue Department, Housing Minister S Muthusamy said
He told newsmen the Chief Minister reviewed the works of the Revenue Department yesterday and asked officials to dispose the pending petitions of the people such as legal heir, income, community certificates etc.

Accordingly, special people's grievance redressal meeting was held today at Thangam Mahal near Mettukadai in Erode district. Special Grievance Redressal Meetings are going to be held by the Revenue Department at various places this month.

Quick action will be taken on public petitions submitted there. So, public can file petitions regarding their problems related to house site pattas, patta name transfer, sub division in pattas, old age pension etc. The issues that required GOs would be taken to the knowledge of CM.

As the number of government land surveyors are less, as a special measure, private land surveyors service will be used in land survey works for 2-3 months in the district, he added.
